Business retreats are great! They help employees raise their morale and it can really build the team spirit. Retreats are something that should be taken to heart, it is the boss saying “yeah work is tough, but the reward is great if you are willing to put effort and great detail in your work” sometimes you just happen to go to a cabin in the woods and no one really asks, hey was this an insane asylum or anything bad happen IN A CABIN IN THE WOODS?! No cause that would be the smart thing to do. These employees are in for one hell of a SILENT RETREAT.
A team of business workers head out for a nice retreat with some work attached but still a nice getaway from their every day jobs.by the way it is free so there should not be complaining right? Ha NOPE the walls are thin and its hot out here! When everyone arrives we are immediately introduced to every ones role, we meet the joker, the main hero the big bad by who is obviously hitting on the dreamy hot girl, the main girl and a few gears in this beautiful piece of art! As all is well and everyone is getting settled in things seem to be going well when one disappears the first morning…no waiting around here.

As the group continues the day someone finally brings up Rita not being around and the begin to search for her. As the main hero Zacry searches he is also trying to give the googly eyes to Meigan who is also searching but she is actually making progress. The joker Tedi is making jokes and being a smart ass but is also very caring in his search but complain he hates hikes which in reality is a little of all us on the inside. As the search continues, secrets and some dark actions come to picture. Someone is not who they say or even think they are. The place is not as nice as the boss said it would be, will out group survive or is work actually the better place to be?!

I really dig Mysteries, I like the horror in mystery. When someone we see do things we take as normal but then reveals their true identity maybe those things may have been on purpose or not as good as we assumed they were. This flick did a great job at hiding the truth and giving us a hell of a ride. The characters have enough character development in such little time and they all can be taken as a real group of co workers. The true horror is the history behind the cabin and the people who were there first. Like I said earlier the people hiding secrets did it well, I was rather shocked and taken back.

I recommend this movie to all mystery thriller lovers with a tad of humor. If you get a chance to see this, you should! It has a great blend of WHAT IS THIS? And WHAT IS GOING ON?! Great weekend movie or I would say a Friday flick with co workers, yeah that would be perfect actually! If you get a job that gives you a retreat just “mind your tongue”, for you do not want it to be a SILENT RETREAT!
